In the process of making my Kenshin MAC submission, I made a number ofconcept sketches before settling on the final version. This is one of those; I used it to test-drive my new colored pencils.
TITLE:
Scarred
I swear, it the sheer force of my will that determined Kenshin's being picked as MAC that month! I had bought a couple of Ruroni Kenshin manga volumes while on vacation, and I just couldn't get over how cute the guy was. I knew he was on the list, and I just hoped and hoped that he would be picked. And when I got home... there he was. |

TITLE:
Bakuretsu Raiders
Chocolate, from Bakuretsu Hunters, for the MAO. I forget now how exactly I came up with the idea of doing a Indiana Jones-type theme. This is the first pic I colored with my new graphic tablet. |

Awww... These are Sana and Hayama from Kodomo no Omocha. Hm, let's see... characters I don't know, from a series I don't watch... My God! This must have been for the Monthly Anime Outcasts!!!
Cacao, from VS Knight Lamune and 40 Fire. I've never seen the series and don't know a thing about her, but she was chosen for the Monthly Anime Outcast, and I thought she would be fun to draw. I'm rather pleased with how the CG came out.
TITLE:
The Day the Angels Danced
Yipee! Van Fanel again! ^_^ This was for the MAC. Actually, I suggested Van for Monthly Anime Character! I was going to try and do a CG piece, but due to last minute technical nightmare (e.g. accidentally uninstalling PhotoPaint from our computer 5 days before the deadline), I did it in watercolor pencil instead. But Van-sama still rules!!! ^_^ |

TITLE:
"Though it's been said many times, many ways..."
This was my submission for the December Monthly AnimeFan Alternative. The topic was Christmas (gee, I wonder why?) It also happens to be the first Evangelion fanart posted on this page! (Not counting the PenPen/Batman team-up in the Misc fanart gallery ^^;) I was initially thinking of a Nativity scene featuring the entire cast; but I got lazy. So I just drew what I imagine would be a typical Christmas scene in Misato's apartment. |

TITLE:
Nausicaa, Warrior Princess
MY
GOD! Can it be? ...It is! It's NON-ESCAFLOWNE FAN ART!!! Praise

I submitted this Merle pic to the Monthly Anime Character showcase. You can still find it there. Once again, I used colored pencils.
TITLE:
Track Meet
I made this one to send to the Animerica Fan Art Gallery, when their theme was "Track Meet". It's perfect, don't you see? Because the track is where they met... ^^; Anyway, I colored it with my trusty Crayola colored pencils, and added the background with Corel PhotoPaint. Not that I'm personally endorsing any of those products or anything. |
