TITLE:  Devil With A Blue Dress On

Man, Winged Misa just seems to dominate this gallery, doesn't she?  In this case, Mal asked me specially if I wanted to contribute a variant cover for his new revamped Winged Misa comic.  What you see is the result of a sudden perverse compulsion I had to draw Misa in a dress.  (Better than the alternative; I came this close to drawing her with a black cloak and scythe.  See Grim Fandango.)  The title just sorta came to me as I was coloring it.

A picture of Wendy, Joshua Lesnick's mascot, for the Monthly Anime Gaijin.  Yep, another monthly... this one is centered around original fan-created characters.  I felt like I'd been doing too much CG lately, so I did this in colored pencil.  It came out... okay, I suppose... kinda blah, actually.  Wendy's profile said she liked yaoi manga, so I drew her reading a copy of June'.  >:)
Fanart for Gilbert, an Impromanga.  I used to draw cats all the time, but since Grade 7 I haven't drawn them much.
I drew this as a spur-of-the-moment sort of thing, but ended up dawdling over the coloring for months on end.  It's Eric Gen, from Ian Kim's online Genesis manga.  He looks rather less buff and more elvish than the original Eric Gen.  I'd heard that lens flare was an overused and trite effect, so I experimented a bit with layer transparency and Eye Candy's Fire filter to come up with that weird glowing energy thingy.
TITLE: Misa vs. Demona: WHEN WINGED CHICKS COLLIDE

This was for when the MAA's topic was to draw an anime/manga character interacting with a Gargoyles character.  Yes, that same Misa from Mal's Winged Misa.

TITLE: "When you're bleary-eyed and hallucinating from lack of sleep, it's fun to pretend you can draw like Mokona Appapa!"

Huh huh... Just guess who this is!  Okay, it's Archangel from the X-Men, rendered in a gratuitous shojo style.  This was for the MAA's "draw X-Men or Gen13 characters in anime costumes or vice versa" month.
Fanart for Silent Darkness, one of my all-time favorite Impromanga series.  Looks kind of X-Filesish?  It's probably supposed to.  The series is ended now, but you can still go read it and stuff. The quote at the top is Shakespeare; umm, Hamlet I think. ^^;
We have a piece of history right here: the first ever Winged Misa fanart. ^_^  Not the best-looking or most well-executed one, mind you; just the first. ^^;;;  (Winged Misa being an online manga by Mal, with collaboration by Eisu, as if you didn't know.)  I colored this with watercolor pencils, which are kinda neat.
TITLE: The Ultimate Dynamic Duo

This is the one I eventually turned in for the first MAA. It has Batman teaming up with Penpen from Neon Genesis Evangelion! Trust me, if those two ever did get together, they would kick some serious butt. I made this, as always, with colored pencils and Corel PhotoPaint.

TITLE: Babylon Gothic

I made this to submit to the first Monthly Animefan Alternative, when the topic was Batman teaming up with an anime/manga character. Subaru Sumeragi from Tokyo Babylon is in the picture with him, but it doesn't really look like they teamed up. If anything, it looks as if they just happened to be getting their pictures taken in the same studio. That, plus the fact that I couldn't get Batman to look cool enough, made me decide to turn in a different entry for the MAA.
