miscellaneous fanart.

On a whim, scary fanart of Y3K, a character from the Impromanga series Bot.  I was deliberately trying for a Dave-McKean-or-perhaps-Marc-Hempel sort of look.  The background is altered screencaptures from the Matrix screensaver.  ^^
Oooh, yet another MAG submission...  This is Josei, a character created by the very talented K.  A pretty girl who turns into a unicorn... who could resist?  The CGing was pretty easy, but the JPG compression came out crappy no matter how high I set it; so I saved it as a GIF, hoping to pass the pixelation off as an artistic effect.  ^^;;;

This actually reminds me of a particular episode of Ally McBeal... perhaps you know the one I'm talking about.

Another Monthly Anime Gaijin submission, of a character by one Shigeru Aoba.  Her name's Reah D'Avignon.  I'm usually too lazy to participate in the MAG, but I liked her design, so...
Allow me to explain.  Eko Eko Azarak is a Japanese live-action horror TV series about a girl named Misa Kuroi who goes around in a black seifuku using black magic to defeat various icky demons and evil humans.  Think of a female Ogre Slayer and you wouldn't be too far off.  The show is odd and often cheesy, and the red-Kool-Aid blood flows by the gallons.  Still, I like the character of Misa, so I didn't think twice before submitting this to Tokusatsu Fan Art Monthly.  No reference pictures of Hinako Saeki were harmed in the making of this picture; if anything, she looks more like Arashi from X here.  :P  For the plain, un-Photoshopped pencil sketch, click here.
"Help us, Obi-Wan Kenobi; you're our only hope!  Help us, Obi-Wan Kenobi; you're our only hope!  Help us, Obi-Wan Kenobi; you're our only hope!..."  Uh, Star Wars Ep. 1 fanart.  Not too much to say here.  No reference pictures of Ewan MacGregor were harmed, or indeed used at all, during the making of this piece.
Monthly Anime Gaijin submission -- these are Tabby and Hyo, created by Ryan Kerns.  They're cat-people, alright?  I think I was trying to make them look like secret agents or something.  The drawing and CG are pretty rushed -- I drew it the afternoon of the deadline and finished coloring late that night.  While writing a composition for Filipino class.  ^^;;;  It turned out pretty okay, I guess, considering...  Only Hyo doesn't look much like himself, and I forgot they're only supposed to have four fingers on each hand.
This isn't really my first ever Sandman fanart, but it's the first up on this page, so... there.  I did this to submit to Pop Culture Monthly for their Valentine's Day theme.  This is Morpheus being all weepy over one of his tragic love affairs -- probably Thessaly, since that's where I got the quote and the rain thing.  I think I'm really starting to abuse this 'pencil sketch - CG' technique.  ^^;
