As
a birthday gift for Saki,
I illustrated one of the last scenes in her favorite novel, 'Almost Heaven'
by Judith McNaught. Um, if you haven't read the book, basically they had
sort of a big misunerstanding, and this is their big reconciliation scene.
Drawing something so syrupy was a terrible strain on me, let me tell you.

This
was a never-used entry for an old old MAA
mascot contest. Shoko the Antisocial Mascot. Don't worry, I've
been making sure she gets her medication as often as possible. |

Another
entry for the belowmentioned MAA,
when their topic for the month was to draw characters from Ian
Kim's Genesis Chronicles interacting with any anime character, with
the theme 'trouble'. Since the Genesis characters are dimension-hoppers,
I drew them appearing in the Escaflowne dimension right after Van shows
up with his dragon in the first episode. Predictably, they commit
some sizeable diplomatic faux pas. Ian Kim himself was pleased
with it, so so am I. ^_^ |

An
entry for the Monthly Animefan Alternative,
for their Back to School topic. Starring everyone's favorite half-breed
demon-boy and 15-year-old-reincarnated-priestess, Inu-Yasha and Kagome,
from Rumiko Takahashi's latest manga series. I thought Inu-Yasha would
look cute in a school uniform. ^_- |
